New President of EDUCOM Announced
Dr. Robert C. Heterick Jr., vice president emeritus at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, has been appointed president of EDUCOM effective January 1, 1993. Heterick succeeds Dr. Kenneth M. King, who is retiring after five years. During his 30 years at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Heterick has held a number of academic and administrative positions.
EDUCOM is a consortium of almost 600 colleges and universities dedicated to the improvement of higher education through the effective and efficient application of information technology.
